Each is olive-green cloth with a gold-embroidered double wreath device above a woven band in the red-white-black of the pre-1991 Iraqi flag. These relate to the feared Ba’ath Party political apparatus that underpinned Saddam Hussein’s regime. The pair was later mounted in a display album, which has left some glue residue and minor paper adhesion on the reverse of each board — shown clearly in the second photo.
