Lieutenant-Colonel Wyndham Portal commanded the battalion for all 14 months.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePortal chose to have its battle honours awarded jointly to the three Household Cavalry regiments, so the battalion's colour carries none.
