1911 silver hallmarked Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) sweetheart

Very high quality silver Royal Army Medical Corps sweetheart.

The maker’s mark “S&Co” on a London-submitted piece points strongly to Searle & Co, a well-known London retail silversmith and jeweller. Searle & Co registered their mark in March 1908, with premises on Lombard Street, London, later at the Royal Exchange, Cornhill, London EC3. 

The date letter is 1911 an unusual  year for a sweetheart.
