1950-60s FEDERATION SIGNALS brass shoulder title

The Signals unit originated as a communications troop in 1949 and was redesignated Federation Signals Squadron and then Federation Brigade Signals Squadron around 1952, in the run‑up to Malayan independence in 1957.

This British made brass title, with English motto and British‑style construction, fit well into this early Federation of Malay Signals era, i.e. mid‑1950s to early 1960s, just post‑independence but before full Malay‑language insignia was standardised.
