A high-quality solid sterling silver sweetheart badge of the Lovat Scouts, featuring the regiment’s distinctive stag’s head within a belt-and-buckle circlet bearing the motto “JE SUIS PRÊT” (“I am ready”).

The reverse is fully hallmarked for sterling silver (925) at the Edinburgh Assay Office, with a date letter for 1928, confirming inter-war manufacture. The quality of casting and finish is notably high, consistent with officer-purchased or regimental jeweller work.

The Lovat Scouts were a renowned Scottish Highland regiment, originally formed from estate stalkers and gamekeepers, and later famous as the British Army’s first dedicated snipers, with service spanning the Boer War through both World Wars.
