Post 1918 R.A.F other ranks, theatre made cap badge

Very unusual bronze finished Royal Air Force ORs cap badge, obviously far from your standard badge which makes me think it was either a manufacturers sample that was not approved or simple a very high quality die struck badge made outside the UK.
