A matching pair of post-war Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps cloth shoulder titles, dating from the 1950s battledress era. Each title is machine embroidered in grey thread on scarlet felt, the corps colours, with the original khaki cotton backing. The QARANC was only formed in February 1949, so these come from the first years of the corps as part of the regular army. Both titles show genuine signs of use, with thread ends and stitching marks where they were removed from a uniform
