QVC 16th (The Queens) Lancers officers button.

Large 25mm gilded brass button in excellent condition.

Title simplified to the 16th (The Queen’s) Lancers in 1861

• Served in the Second Boer War (1900–1901) and the First World War

• Amalgamated with the 5th Royal Irish Lancers in 1922 to form the 16th/5th Lancers

Given the crown style (Queen Victoria’s crown) and “24mm large officers’ button” quality, this would date somewhere between 1861 and 1901 — likely mid-to-late Victorian given the 1861 title change fits with “16” numbering staying constant throughout.
