Set of 16 Victorian Gilt Brass “Fisheries” Uniform Buttons some are by Firmin & Sons, London — 24mm, Uncleaned
Description:
A set of sixteen gilt brass uniform buttons, each 24mm across. The fronts show a crown above a fouled anchor, with wording around the rim reading “FISHERIES” — these appear to be from a British fisheries-related uniform (a fishery protection or fisheries board service), though the exact branch can’t be confirmed from the photos alone. The some with backs stamped “FIRMIN LONDON,” No two buttons in the set are quite identical. All sixteen are in their original, uncleaned condition with natural aged patina — they have not been polished.
