Iraqi Armoured Corps “Arab Shield” Enamel Badge – Saddam Era
Genuine Iraqi Army armoured training badge, manufactured in Baghdad’s Karkh (كرخي) district. The design features a gold T-55/T-62-style tank with a torch above it, symbolising the Armoured Corps training schools active during the 1970s–1990s under the Ba’ath regime.
The Arabic script reads “Arab Shield” (درع العرب) with “Combat Arts” (الفنون القتال) beneath, a motto used by Iraqi Armoured Corps and Republican Guard armoured training establishments.
High-quality enamel on a black shield backing with original pin fitting.
A scarce original from Saddam-era Iraq – ideal for collectors of Middle Eastern, Gulf War, or armoured unit insignia.
