SWAC(V) — Singapore Women’s Auxiliary Corps (Volunteers) Title.

The Women’s Auxiliary Corps was formed as a support arm of the Singapore Volunteer Corps in the late 1940s, alongside other new units like the Singapore Royal Artillery and Singapore Armoured Corps, and it drew recruits from both the local community and the British expatriate population.  It sat within the wider rebuilding of Singapore’s citizen-defence force after the wartime SVC had been disbanded in 1946 and then reformed in 1949.
