Rare white metal WW1 cap badge for the 10th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, known as “The 10th Canadians.” The badge shows the battalion’s beaver design below a King’s crown, surrounded by maple leaves, with a scroll reading “10TH CANADIANS.”

Maker marked on the reverse with a brass plate reading “Hicks & Sons, London.” This badge is struck in white metal, which is a scarcer variant than the more commonly seen brass or copper versions of this badge.

Condition: the two lugs on the reverse have been neatly replaced at some point, likely in the WW1 era or shortly after. The repair is well done and doesn’t detract from display. Otherwise the badge is in good, crisp condition with clear detail throughout.
