No. 21 OCB was based in Hampshire, near Aldershot. Service records name its home as Haig Hutments at Crookham, a wooden hutted camp at Church Crookham, and other sources place it at Tweseldown Camp near Fleet, which lies alongside. No. 20 OCB trained at Crookham too. Cadets arrived, studied, drilled and sat their exams, and within months were gazetted as second lieutenants and sent to the front. The Haig Lines site survived into the 1970s before being demolished, and the area is now housing.
