WW2 US Army 36th Engineer Regiment “Seahorse” Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) Patch
Description: Original World War Two cloth shoulder patch worn by soldiers of the US Army’s 36th Engineer Regiment. The design shows a white seahorse on a red and white shield, edged in black. This unit trained for amphibious landings and fought in North Africa, Sicily, Italy and Southern France. At Anzio their soldiers held part of the front line for weeks, earning them the nickname “The Little Seahorse Division” from the Germans.
